Layered Gears Cuff
and Cicada Ring

Here are two projects I
worked on during my time
at SCAD. The first is a
pierced cuff, done with
all cold connections and
heat patina treated copper.
My goal was to create a
variety of colors with
one material. Each gear
was carefully hand-filed.

The cicada ring is based
on the conflict between
human and nature...
delicate and durable...
hand-crafted and
mass-produced.
It is primarily sterling silver,
with copper accents
and a concrete stone.
